One year after his debut, the label Hidden Tapes is proud and pleased to present CMBM “cosmic microwave background radiation” by Dark Division, a 2x12” inch gatefold in stores on 12 November: a techno experimental project that range from ambient dimensions to more dark and industrial techno. The release features 8 new tracks including 2 astonishing remixes.

In this new release Dark Division reaches a more abstract dimension with emerging cosmical and spacial feelings, swirling and deep sounds obtained with dark pads, disruptive deep basses, with ever present echoes and focused distortions: the entire projects sound pleasant and challenging.
It’s a small journey, lasting 8 tracks, that envision a unique point of view on the scientific theory about multi-universes. His primary and essential sounds blend with other rhythmic elements. The result are rich dynamics and a unique metric structure. It takes multiple listenings to discover a complex blend of sonic fluxes.

On each record there’s a remix: the first one features PRG-M, and the second features Matter. Both artists enhance Dark Division’s music making this double vinyl an extremely interesting release.

Biographies :

Dark Division is the experimental sound project of Raffaele Scarpati, Alfredo Somma and Fabiano Matrone.
Since inception in 2013, the group has taken its shape through a blend of artistic traits in the individual careers as solo artists. Infusing a widely scoped pallet of immersive audio files that usher the listener into a vignette of illusionary installation art, the triad has adapted a system of play tactics blurring boundaries between sonic hallucination and what is surrealism. By unison of both analog machines and software, morphing sound of pristine weightless tones vanishing into prisms of drone and ambient low techno, harmony is created that is unique to the members variance. Members of Dark Division share the principle to explore unknown, eclectic files through sonic experimentation, devoting time to continuous research for creation and development of new sounds and the avant-garde.

PRG/M (Program) is one of the moniker of Pier Giuseppe Mariconda, musician and multimedia artist from the Southern Italy, part of the project r²π with Retina.it and Ruhig. PRG/M express himself through dark and mental shades: dark ambient sounds, immersive pads and subdued and deconstructed rhythmics. The sound he produces under this moniker has been released in last years on various EP and compilations on labels such as Unità Psicofisica, Delirio, Subsidence, Spagiria/ Eklero and Concrete Records. His recently released the EP "Berytus Groan" for Subsidence and the twotracker "Gaia Aeterna" on Delirio and, as 1/4 of r²p collective, after they EP Library Of Babel on
Midgar Records released in June 14 last year, he released in 2018 the split EP "Embodiment of the Will" with Mike Parker on Subosc .

Matter is Fabrizio Matrone aka Heidseck.
Matter's music has been released from labels such as
ant-zen (D), KVITNU (UKR), Subsidence (I),
Concrete Records (I), Black Chrysalis Archives (I), Le Petit Machiniste (D), SovietMediaKontrol (US). He played in several festival like Piombino eXperimenta III (I), Live Performers Meeting 2006 (I), Le Petit Machiniste Festival 4 (D), Storung Festival 7 (ES), Flussi Eu Festival 2013 (I), Game Over festival 2015 (I), Flussi Festival 2016 (I) . The project is focused on electronic and experimental sound. Rhythmic walls, deep and dirty analogue soundscapes from Bologna, Italy.
